The NBA is a strange place where a superstar player can just show up at a practice, team up with scrubs, and lead them into beating the rest of the starting unit. It’s also a place where players suddenly break out in synchronized – and completely unscripted – motions. It’s a phenomenon that’s eluded a scientific explanation, but who cares, it’s still fun to watch whenever it happens. Oh, hello Mavs.

With that said, here’s the Dallas Mavericks submitting their own version of an incredibly synced moment featuring Dennis Smith Jr. and Dorian Finney-Smith.

Call it the Millennial version, as the two Smiths were browsing on their phones when the rare moment was caught on video. Chances are, they’d run across this clip of themselves sooner or later when they hop back on their social media accounts – if they hadn’t already.

The Mavs are also hoping that they’re all going to be on the same page once the regular season kicks off. The Mavs are coming off a letdown 2017-18 campaign in which they went just 24-58 – the franchise’s worst win-loss record percentage-wise since going 20-62 during the 1997-98 campaign.

With Dennis Smith Jr. and hotshot rookie Luka Doncic together with key free agent acquisition DeAndre Jordan, the Mavs are poised to make a run for at least a playoffs spot.
