The Denver Broncos were forced to tinker with its roster this week, as injuries have made the franchise adjust on the fly. A direct result off all this tinkering was the release of defensive tackle Kyle Peko, who isn't to be confused with Broncos starting nose tackle Domata Peko (they are cousins).

Injuries have forced the Broncos to make several moves heading into their Week 7 game against the Los Angeles Chargers. Denver will be without linebacker Corey Nelson, wide receivers Emmanuel Sanders, Isaiah McKenzie and Cody Latimer, and offensive linemen Billy Turner, Donald Stephenson and Menelik Watson.

Recently, Denver head coach Vance Joseph spoke about how injuries were forcing Bennie Fowler into the No. 2 receiver slot, but how he had the utmost confidence in it all working out.

Here is Joseph on Fowler playing in that slot:

“I think he does,” Joseph said during a presser when asked if Fowler has the ability to be a legitimate No. 2 wide receiver. “Bennie’s a smart guy, he knows what to do and that’s half the battle as far as being a [No.] 1 or a [No.] 2. I don’t know what that means, I mean you would know better than I would. He’s a receiver and he’s the next guy up, so he’s the No. 2. He was the No. 2 last week from time to time. That has no relevance as far as who plays. When he’s out there, he’s a [No.] 1, you can say that also.”

Anyway, don't be shocked if, after the injuries all settle, Kyle Peko ends up back with Denver.
