Blizzard Activision and NetEase announced several months ago that Diable Immortal, the popular dark fantasy RPG dungeon crawler, will be released soon for the iOS and Android mobile platforms as a free-to-play title. Many diablo fans asked up and down social media whether or not Diabloe Immortal would be coming to the PC platform, ever since the infamous BlizzCon 2018 reveal, spurring the big question: “Do you guys not have phones?“, as the series has always been seen as a PC-first title.  It seems like classic Diablo fans from around the world will not have to search for their smartphones to play this after all, as the game will also come with a PC Open Beta Test.

In a blogpost made over on the official Battle.net website, they mentioned the decision to release Diablo Immortal as a PC game came as a back and forth decision between the development team, as they wanted to deliver a game that new players could enjoy, but one that could make the classic Diablo fans happy. They ultimately decided to create a PC version of the game, because the developers figured that people were just going to play the game on their PCs via emulation anyway, so why not go the extra mile and make the game fully playable on PC, complete with cross-play and cross-save progression? A very sound decision, indeed.

Diablo Immortal Release Date: June 2nd, 2022

While the mobile version of Diablo Immortal will take some gameplay and visual liberties when compared to previous Disablo titles, the game will retain plenty of story and lore, as the game will now serve as a crossroad between Diablo II: Resurrection and Diablo III, where the archangel Tyrael is presumed dead, and mankind is left to deal with the aftermath of his actions.  The game will feature six playable classes, including the Barbarian, Crusader, Demon Hunter, Monk, Necromancer, and Wizard. The game will also feature new and classic enemies to fight and conquer, including the Skeleton King and his undead army, the Countess of Khanduaras, and Fahir the undying monarch.
