Albert Wilson is one step closer to rejoining his team on the field, and a new report suggests that he'll rejoin the Miami Dolphins in the offseason.

According to NBC Sports, the wide receiver only played seven games in his inaugural season in Miami before he was sidelined with a severe injury. His injured hip had him placed on injured reserve.

However, according to the Miami Herald, Wilson's recovery is going on schedule, and he's set to return to the field to practice with the team during the offseason.

During his inaugural year with the Dolphins, Albert Wilson certainly did a pretty good job with the team. He caught 26 passes for 391 yards with a career-high four touchdowns in just seven games played for the Dolphins. His previous highs came in 2017 with the Kansas City Chiefs when he caught 42 passes for 554 yards and three touchdowns.

This is certainly good news for the team. Up until Thanksgiving, Wilson was still seen walking around with crutches.

It's unclear how Wilson got this hip injury in the first place, however.

With that said, the Dolphins are still not without their problems. In addition to not having a quarterback for next season, they're not sure if Brian Flores is, or isn't, officially the head coach. (Other reports have suggested that Flores is all but a shoo-in for the position.)

However, with this latest bit of good news about Albert Wilson, and the good news about Dan Marino heading to the Senior Bowl to scope out quarterbacks, there is some hope for the South Florida team.
