The Philadelphia Eagles made a bit of a splash with the acquisition of former Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver DeSean Jackson this offseason. It appears no one is more excited by his arrival than quarterback Carson Wentz.

The Eagles are looking to kick things up a notch on offense moving forward. According to Eliot Shorr-Parks of 94WIP.com, Wentz is confident that Jackson can help them do just that:

Carson Wentz says DeSean Jackson still “runs like the wind” and is going to bring a dynamic aspect to the offense

Wentz's excitement is certainly understandable. He has established himself as a bit of a gunslinger early in his career.

Although Jackson endured some down years in Tampa Bay, he is still undoubtedly one of the most explosive wideouts in the NFL. Wentz will find it a bit more difficult to overthrow him than the other options he has had in his receiving corps.

Jackson was not shy about expressing his disdain with his lack of involvement in the Bucs offense last season. He finished the 2018 campaign with 41 receptions for 774 yards and four touchdowns. He is hoping that a return to Philadelphia will be just what he needs to get his numbers back up.

Aside from his individual goals, Jackson has made it clear that winning a championship will be his top priority. He was unable to come within reach during his first stint with the team and was already out of town by the time the Eagles had won their first Super Bowl in franchise history.

He and Wentz will be looking to finish the job this time around.
