It's clear that the Philadelphia Eagles could benefit from some new wide receiver signings this year. The Cleveland Browns traded away their star receiver Josh Gordon to the New England Patriots this week. However, longtime Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chad Johnson tweeted that he's interested in signing with the Birds. The eleven-year NFL vet said he would play for free WiFi alone.

Johnson was one of the most polarizing figures in sports during his playing days. Johnson recorded over 1,000 receiving yards in seven of the ten seasons he spent with the Bengals. He became known for his exuberant touchdown celebrations and garnered excessive attention when he legally changed his last name to Ochocinco, to match the 85 he wore on his back.

He finished out his career after playing for the Patriots for one year in 2011-12. At 40-years-old, its unlikely that Johnson was serious about ending his six-year hiatus from the league. Even if he was actually contemplating making a return, his antics may be too much of a distraction for the Super Bowl defending champs, even if he is better than some players on their roster.

Carson Wentz has officially been named the Eagles' starter for their Week 3 matchup with the 1-1 Indianapolis Colts. Philly should wait and see how he performs with his current personnel before they start giving out their WiFi password. The team has been anxiously awaiting his return since the ended last season with a championship. He'll have to rely on Zach Ertz and Nelson Agholor as his main targets until their receiving corps recovers.
