Philadelphia Eagles third-year running back Corey Clement could miss up to two weeks due to a shoulder injury suffered in the team's loss to the Atlanta Falcons.

Per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the 24-year-old Clement was knocked out of the bout with a shoulder injury and completed an MRI on Monday. With little known, the Eagles will have to wait until later in the week to better identify a timetable for the running back's return to the gridiron.

Philly, at 1-1 through two weeks, plays two games in 10 days due to next Sunday's matchup with Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers and then a quick turnaround to play the Detroit Lions on the following Thursday night. The team already fears missing veteran wide receiver Alshon Jeffery for multiple weeks with a calf strain.

Clement was initially signed as an undrafted free agent by the Eagles out of Wisconsin in 2017. The kick return specialist totaled 73 yards on three kick returns in Week 2 against the Falcons before exiting the game with an issue with his shoulder.

Clement rushed for 321 yards, scoring four touchdowns, in his rookie season with Philly in 2017, appearing in every regular-season game. Last year Clement had a less successful and limited season, appearing in 11 games due to a knee injury sustained in Week 14. He recorded 259 rushing yards, scoring two touchdowns, and hauled in 22 receptions for 192 receiving yards.

The former Badger moved to a more permanent special-teams position in 2019 for the club, though, in spite of the relatively depleted backfield made up of Miles Sanders, Jordan Howard, and Darren Sproles.
