Philadelphia Eagles expect wide receiver DeSean Jackson to return for Thursday Night Football against the New York Giants, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.

Despite not being placed on the IR list, Jackson is still out with a hamstring injury in Philadelphia's contest against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday night. This will mark his third straight missed game. However, it appears like this will be his last game on the sidelines because of his nagging hamstring injury.

Spending the first six years of his career with Philly, the 33-year old's second stint with the Eagles has been clouded with injury thus far. He missed all but three games of the 2019 season due to a core muscle injury, which required surgery.

Jackson's return should give Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz an added option and a deep threat on the field, something Philadelphia has needed this season. The veteran should give the Eagles an added boost to their passing game.

Eagles head coach Doug Pederson noted that Jackson had a great practice session on Thursday, but still ruled him out of Sunday's Ravens match as a precaution. Hamstring injuries have a tendency to linger, so it's better to exercise caution with these kinds of ailments. Nonetheless, it appears like Jackson is on his way to getting past the troublesome injury.

Aside from Jackson, six other Eagles are out of commission against Baltimore on Sunday. Philadelphia has also missed the services of wide receiver Alshon Jeffery, who has yet to suit up for the team this season.
