DeVonta Smith is known as a calm, quiet and humble guy, but even he couldn't keep his composure after the Philadelphia Eagles' devastating loss to the New York Giants.

Smith, the Eagles' prized rookie wide receiver and leader in receiving yards and catches, wasn't targeted at all during the Eagles' last two drives, in which they were only down by six points. On their last chance, they went to second-year receiver Jalen Reagor, who dropped a very catchable pass from Jalen Hurts that would have put the Eagles right on the goal line.

According to Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer, Smith threw his helmet in frustration after the turnover on downs. He recorded just two catches and 22 yards on four targets in this game.

Smith's frustration may not be just on Reagor, who was targeted three times on the Eagles' last drive. Hurts played miserably, resulting in a weak Giants defense holding the Eagles to just one score (a rushing touchdown from Boston Scott). Hurts threw for just 129 yards and added three interceptions.

In 11 games in the NFL, Smith has recorded 46 catches, 664 receiving yards, and four touchdowns. He has adjusted just fine to the professional level. Hurts has been playing pretty strong in his last few games but still has absolutely terrible performances like today that make his stock as a starting-caliber quarterback shaky.

Reagor has just 170 yards and 23 catches on the season. His stock plummets even further after his awful drop late in the game. He has failed to produce at a level worthy of a first-round pick and will always live in the shadow of being drafted with the pick right before Justin Jefferson.
