The Philadelphia Eagles have one of the best tackles in all of football in Jason Peters. There's a problem though, as injuries have seriously tampered his effectiveness. Whether that's how he plays on the field, or even getting on the field, it's slowed him down.

According to Josh Alper of ProFootballTalk.com, Jason Peters himself recognizes this and knows that 2019 is a “big comeback year” for him.

In 2017, Peters appeared in only seven games. Although he played in every game this year, he wasn't always present the entire time. In fact, he missed snaps in 10 different games.

However, what seems to be bother Peters the most is that he feels he didn't play as good as he should have.

Honestly, that makes a lot of sense. Injuries suck, they're frustrating. At the end of the day though, you can't always control them. You can control your play on the field when you're healthy though. It was that play that apparently didn't make Peters too happy.

The left tackle seems to believe that the Eagles could've made a deep playoff run (they could have if a few different things went their way). It appears he feels like some of that responsibility falls on him.

He also feels like he's getting criticized more. Peters points out that in Philadelphia, you always have to prove yourself. Even someone who is a sure-fire Hall of Famer like himself. The second you stop playing perfectly, you're going to hear it. That's what happened to Peters last year.

Now he has to prove himself with a comeback year. To be honest, that's fair. Jason Peters is 37. He's coming off a down-year that followed up an injured year. It's not crazy to think that if he doesn't bounce back nicely, the Eagles may not make it that far – and his days in Philadelphia could be numbered.
