Pro Bowl defensive end Michael Bennett was part of the major roster shakeup with the Seattle Seahawks being traded to the Philadelphia Eagles. It effectively ends a five-year tenure with the organization where he developed into one of the premier players at his position in the league.

This move has now put in the NFC East on the defending Super Bowl champions with a chance to play a few other talented quarterbacks in divisional play. According to Tim McManus of ESPN, the 32-year-old had a clear message for each of the other starting quarterbacks in the NFC East.

“I know Eli Manning is probably watching this and thinking … yes, I'm coming. I know Dak [Prescott] is watching this like, ‘Yeah, he's coming.' Yeah, I am,” Bennett said at his introductory news conference Monday as a member of the Eagles. “And Alex Smith, he knows he can't run from me. I told him in the Pro Bowl.

“It's definitely going to be a great season, and it's going to be fun to be out here and be able to chase quarterbacks.”

Heading into his 10th season in the league, Bennett is still playing at a high level after notching 8.5 sacks with 40 total tackles while playing in all 16 games this past season. It has marked the fifth straight campaign with five or more sacks while earning all three of his Pro Bowl selections.

Bennett hasn't exactly been a huge sack artist through his notching 54.0 through his first nine years with one campaign topping double-figures that saw him garner 10.0 in the 2015 season. That said, he has been quite productive against the NFC East in his career recording 11.0 sacks with 31 total tackles 16 games played. He will have the chance to be highly impactful along their already stacked defensive line that features the likes of Brandon Graham, Chris Long, Derek Barnett along with tackles Fletcher Cox, Haloti Ngata, and Tim Jernigan.

All of this could make for a highly productive season from Bennett while becoming a key piece of their defensive front in the team's hopes of repeating as Super Bowl champions.
