The Philadelphia Eagles have been linked to LSU wide receiver Justin Jefferson for quite some time.

That's odd for a few reasons. First, Jefferson is an elite type talent. Usually, someone of his caliber would not be around until pick 21. However, this is a loaded draft at wide receiver. That has allowed him to fall to Philadelphia in a ridiculous amount of mock drafts.

Second, the Eagles pick at 21. Usually, people vary on who will be taken at picks later in the first round. Most people seem sold on the idea that Philadelphia will land Jefferson though.

That being said, it looks like there might be a bump in the road.

According to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network, the Eagles may need to trade up in the draft if they want Jefferson.

As mentioned before, Jefferson is considered an elite type talent by a lot of people. So even in a loaded wide receiver draft, teams will be tempted by him.

Due to that, a lot of teams might want to jump the Eagles, knowing that they have significant interest and have been linked to the wide receiver for quite some time.

It's not just teams jumping them that the Eagles have to worry about tough. There are a number of teams naturally ahead of them in the draft that could definitely have a reason to want to take Jefferson.

Every year there are surprise picks. There are teams reaching for a player, and there are players falling far from where they were expected to go. And, of course, trades.

With that in mind, it's impossible to 100% predict a draft. There are simply too many moving pieces.

If the Eagles are truly that interested in Jefferson, they might not want to take any chances. If they really want to get the wide receiver (a position they desperately need help in), they might need to trade up to ensure they don't miss out.
