The Philadelphia Eagles have been on a bit of a quarterback carousel the last few months. They moved on from Carson Wentz, who is now with the Indianapolis Colts, meaning sophomore quarterback Jalen Hurts is now the main man in Philly.

Hurts is just 22-years-old and is very inexperienced in the NFL, having just started in four games in replace of Wentz last season. Now that he's the man under center for the Eagles, they felt that it was important to get a veteran voice in the quarterbacks from for him. Insert one-time Super Bowl Champion and SB MVP Joe Flacco.

It’s a bit of a homecoming for Flacco, who grew up in Audubon, New Jersey, not far from Philadelphia. The Eagles gave Flacco a $3.5 Million dollar deal, fully guaranteed, with incentives up to $7.5 million.

Flacco just turned 36-years-old back in January is set to join his fourth NFL team. After spending 11 seasons with the Baltimore Ravens, eventually winning Super Bowl XLVII, he was traded to the Denver Broncos. He spent one year as the Broncos quarterback before signing a one-year, $1.5 million deal with the New York Jets.

Flacco started in just four games for the Jets when Sam Darnold went down with an injury, and eight games for the Broncos the year before. The Eagles now bring in a proven veteran quarterback to help mentor and assist Hurts this season.
