The search for Frank Reich's replacement is officially getting serious. Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson has now identified two potential replacements to fill his vacant offensive coordinator position.

According to sources close to Tim McManus of ESPN, former Eagles running back Duce Staley and the son of Al Groh, Mike, will both be interviewing for the Eagles offensive coordinator job.

Staley, 42, played seven seasons in the nation's former capital. From 1997 through 2003, Staley racked up 4,807 yards and 22 touchdowns on the ground while chipping in with 2,498 yards and 10 touchdowns through the air. He finished out his playing days with the other Pennsylvania team, the Pittsburgh Steelers, in which three years wound down his long career.

Staley joined the Eagles coaching staff in 2011 as a quality control coach. He was then elevated to running backs coach in 2013 and has since remained in that position until this very day.

Mike Groh has been a wide receivers coach in the league since 2013 and spent 2017 at the same post in Philly. Prior, he spent a decade in the collegiate ranks, notably spending 2006-2008 as Virginia's offensive coordinator (serving under his father, Al Groh). The elder Groh is a former Bill Parcells disciple whose last head coaching gig came during the 2000 season with the 9-7 New York Jets.

Obviously, a man is needed due to Reich's NFL promotion to head coach for the Indianapolis Colts.

During the first two seasons as the boss, Pederson has called the offensive plays and no indication has come our way suggestion that's going to change. Whoever is selected as offensive coordinator, shouldn't affect the Eagles offense too much. Rather, he'd simply add another element to the process.
