Philadelphia Eagles right guard Brandon Brooks is one of the best in the NFL at his position. In fact, in both 2017 and 2018, Brooks made the Pro Bowl.

However, the guard had a terrible ending to his season in 2018. In Philadelphia's loss to the New Orleans Saints in the divisional round of the playoffs, Brooks suffered a torn Achilles.

Due to the injury, the 29-year-old might not be ready to start the season. He's definitely working to get there though. Brooks has taken to Twitter to update the world on his progression.

This is about as good as you could expect from someone who suffered a torn Achilles mere months ago. Brooks shows himself running, and possibly more importantly – shuffling. Although he's clearly not 100 percent, the good news is that he doesn't look robotic either.

If he's not ready for week 1, it doesn't look like Brooks would have to wait much longer after that.

With that being said though, it's important to remember these are just two short videos. Brooks is running and shuffling, which is a massively positive step. However, he's not doing anything physical against someone, with no resistance. Things will change drastically once those elements are introduced.

No matter how far away Brooks is though – this is a positive step. The Eagles right guard is clearly on the right path to recovering from what could've been a devastating injury in his career in the torn Achilles.

Brooks will be just 30 for the entirety of the 2019 NFL season. He still has a lot of football left in him. It's good to see he won't let this injury stop that from happening.
