In the last few days, there has been much chatter surrounding Atlanta Falcons All-Pro wide receiver Julio Jones after he decided to suddenly remove everything team related from his social media accounts. This, coupled with his absence from voluntary team workouts, have drawn more concern about his status with the organization.

With that in mind, Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff stated on Saturday that he is not worried in any manner about Jones' actions over the last few days he believes the two sides are in “a great spot,” according to Vaughn McClure of ESPN.

“Julio and the organization are doing very well,” Dimitroff told ESPN on Saturday. “I'm not concerned one bit about any of the social media. I think we're in a great spot. He had very good discussions with [coach] Dan [Quinn]. And we're in a great spot.”

The 29-year-old is currently in the third year of his five-year, $71.2 million deal that has roughly $39.2 million remaining on the deal. He is coming off the heels of another highly productive campaign where he finished with on 88 receptions for 1,444 receiving yards, which marked the fifth time in his career that he has posted at least 1,000 receiving yards. He had also joined Roddy White (six) as the only players in team history to have at least five seasons with at least 1,000 receiving yards.

Prior to his actions on social media, there was no previous concerns or dialogue about there being any conflict between Jones and the Falcons. If anything, he had further strengthened his bond with the franchise after helping to push the team to another playoff appearance.

Atlanta did make a couple moves in the draft to add more talent at the wide receiver position with Alabama's Calvin Ridley in the first round and LSU's Russell Gage in the sixth round. If anything, this is a situation to continue to monitor as the offseason rolls along.
