The Atlanta Falcons are confident that Julio Jones will be able to play in their Thanksgiving showdown against the New Orleans Saints despite a shoulder injury according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media.

Jones suffered an AC Joint sprain in the Falcons last game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers but was able to return to the game. He played 45 snaps and was still able to catch five passes for 68 yards.

Jones hasn't missed any games this season but has been nicked up most of the season. Falcons coach Dan Quinn said earlier in the week that Jones would be a game-time decision because they needed to make sure that he had enough strength in his shoulder.

“The reason for that is to make sure that he's got strength of the ability to use his shoulder,” Quinn said of Jones' game-time status via ESPN. “If he has that, then we let him go.”

Jones has participated in walkthroughs throughout the week, and even though he is expected to play, it's unclear how close to 100 percent he is or how effective he can be.

The Falcons are also expected to get running back Devonta Freeman back and the hope is he can be a big boost to the running game. In the Falcons last game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers their leading rusher was Qadree Ollison who only had 20 yards.

The Falcons are going to have their hands full in this game trying to pull the upset, but having these guys in the lineup will help their cause.
