Chael Sonnen had quite the Hotel fight back in December 2021. The former UFC fighter seemed to be in the clear but he has recently been facing even more charges.

Currently, TMZ reports that Chael Sonnen is facing 11 charges including one felony. The UFC fighter is charged with a felony for ‘felony battery by strangulation.' The reports on what truly happened are still murky.

TMZ obtained the court records and had more information on the case. Things got very ugly for the former UFC fighter as he struck multiple people.

“In the docs, officials accuse Sonnen of roughing up six people — including one woman — during some sort of altercation at a Vegas hotel on Dec. 18.

“Officials say in the docs Sonnen choked a man, punched and/or struck a woman, and punched and/or kneed others in the head and face during the incident.”

It appeared like Chael Sonnen would be in the clear back in January but Nevada did have the option to refile the charges should they choose to. The former UFC fighter originally had five battery citations but they were all dismissed.

There are many rumors surrounding the event and it's still not quite clear what truly happened. There was word that the former UFC fighter was acting in self-defense and protecting someone.

More details are expected to be released now that new charges have been added to Chael Sonnen's case. It is not clear what the potential consequences are for the former UFC fighter but things are getting very serious in his case.
