The New York Giants took part in their second game of the preseason on Monday night against the Cleveland Browns, and it wasn't exactly the best evening for their wide receivers.

Along with Odell Beckham Jr. being forced to leave the game due to an ankle sprain, the Giants are also now dealing with a shoulder injury to fellow Pro Bowl wideout, Brandon Marshall.

The injury may have occurred on a deep pass down the sideline that was thrown a bit out of his reach and put him in a vulnerable position, with the Browns rookie safety Jabrill Peppers hitting him on the play shoulder first.

Marshall did indicate that he was a bit sore after the game but he didn't appear to be too concerned about the injury. The x-rays were likely done as a precautionary measure to make sure everything was still in order.

Marshall is set to play in his first season with the Giants after inking a two-year, $12 million deal in free agency. He figures to step into a prominent role alongside Beckham Jr. and Sterling Sheppard. Despite a noticeable drop in his numbers due in large part to porous quarterback play, the 33-year-old posted 59 catches for 788 receiving yards and three touchdowns in 15 games played.
