The New York Giants are only 1-2 on the season after capturing the team's first win of the year on Sunday afternoon against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. However, there is much for Giants fans to be excited about after Sunday afternoon's Week 3 victory on the road in Tampa Bay — especially the play of rookie quarterback Daniel Jones.

With Jones supplanting a veteran and two-time Super Bowl Champion in Eli Manning under center, the first-year signal-caller made some history upon leading New York to victory in his first ever NFL start.

Jones and the Giants trailed for the majority of Sunday afternoon's NFC clash while ultimately coming away with a narrow 32-31 win over the surging Buccaneers. Jones came to play, though, and finished his first career NFL start 23-for-36 for 336 yards and two passing touchdowns to coincide with his pair of rushing touchdowns.

It is also worth noting that Jones failed to throw an interception — something that the aforementioned Manning has always struggled with — in addition to leading the Giants to the franchise's largest come from behind win in 49 years.

Prior to Jones taking over center in Week 3 against the Buccaneers, Manning had been unable to lead the Giants to victory in 2019-20 as New York started the year with consecutive losses to the arch-rival Dallas Cowboys and Buffalo Bills, respectively.

With the Daniel Jones show currently in full swing, however, the 2019 first round NFL Draft pick will now most certainly lead the Giants for the team's Week 4 matchup against the Washington Redskins.
