The New York Giants are having all kinds of issues currently sitting with a 1-5 record but coach Pat Shurmur thinks this team has the DNA to overcome the adversity they are facing. From the outside it looks like the world is collapsing on the Giants. Eli Manning is getting all kinds of heat from the media, the offensive line is not blocking anyone, and Odell Beckham Jr is being his normal self.

Shurmur says he has been impressed with the way the locker room has responded and he still has confidence in the team.

“Listen, teams fight through adversity and it’s in the Giants’ DNA to pull this thing out,” Shurmur said, via The New York Post. “I’ve seen it, I’ve studied the history of it and I like the locker room that we’ve assembled. I’m impressed with the guys we have in the locker room, and I know they’re going to fight.’’

It's interesting that Shurmur says he is impressed with the locker room because from the outside it looks like the locker room is a huge mess. Shurmur is a mild manner type of coach and says that is something that he will continue to do.

He doesn't think he needs to get in front of the team and start screaming at them to get his point across, he knows the team knows what he thinks and he can use his own tactics to get them motivated.

The Giants next game is against the Atlanta Falcons and hopefully, Shurmur has the team motivated and ready to go, and maybe they can get that second win of the season.
