The New York Giants selected Daniel Jones in first-round of the 2019 NFL Draft. While the quarterback was expected to go in the first, the fact that he went sixth overall was a surprise to a lot of people.

Due to how early he was drafted, the Giants have faced a lot of criticism. Many believe that there were better quarterbacks on the board and that Jones simply wasn't worth that pick.

However, there are clearly people in the organization that disagree. Now there's someone outside of it that's speaking his mind as well.

Giants legend and former running back Tiki Barber praised Daniel Jones, according to TMZ.com.

Barber does bring up some good points. He talks about the smarts of Jones and his athletic ability.

Barber also talks about the players around Jones. He feels that the quarterback is in a great position to succeed. There's a pretty strong argument for this as well, especially with players like Saquon Barkley at running back and Evan Engram at tight end.

Of course, there's future Hall of Fame quarterback Eli Manning to help teach Jones the ropes.

However, there are no concrete arguments either way. The only way to see exactly how good of a pick this will end up being is by waiting. There's no better argument than actual production.

No matter how anyone feels about it, the Giants selected Jones with the sixth overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. Barber is a believer in the young quarterback and the team's ability to help him succeed. That's a pretty big endorsement if you ask me.
