San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich couldn't help but laugh it all off after taking a ridiculous last-second loss to the Portland Trail Blazers through a botched play.

The longest-tenured coach in the league had previously vowed no more rest for his star players throughout the rest of the season, as his team led by a point on Monday night's game which went down to the wire.

Blazers guard Shabazz Napier attempted to get into the lane after having enough space to take a jumper, losing the ball in the process and fortuitously tapping it to an open Noah Vonleh under the rim for the buzzer-beating layup.

Pop shook hands with fellow coach Terry Stotts after the game ended, but was smiling from ear-to-ear in amusement after taking a very unlikely 99-98 loss in the penultimate game of the season.

Sometimes a bit of luck is all it takes.
