Memphis Grizzlies wing C.J. Miles will miss the remainder of the season as a result of a stress reaction in his left foot, according to the team.

The injury occurred during the Grizzlies' loss to the Washington Wizards on Saturday, when Miles left the game with left foot soreness. An MRI then revealed a stress reaction.

Miles is expected to make a full recovery.

Memphis originally acquired Miles at the trade deadline in a deal that sent Marc Gasol to the Toronto Raptors. In 13 games since joining the Grizzlies, Miles averaged 9.3 points and 2.1 rebounds over 22.6 minutes per game while shooting 40 percent from the floor, 36.4 percent from three-point range and 92.9 percent from the free-throw line.

On the season overall, Miles registered 6.4 points across 16.2 minutes a night while making 36 percent of his field-goal attempts, 33 percent of his long-distance tries and 82.8 percent of his foul shots.

The 32-year-old, who jumped to the NBA straight from high school, was originally selected by the Utah Jazz in the second round (34th pick overall) of the 2005 NBA Draft.

He spent the first seven years of his career with the Jazz but did not really break out until his sixth season, when he played in 78 games and recorded 12.8 points and 3.3 boards through 25.2 minutes per game while connecting on 40.7 percent of his shots, 32.2 percent of his triples and 81.1 percent of his free throws.

After his time in Utah, Miles spent two seasons with the Cleveland Cavaliers before joining the Indiana Pacers, where he played three years and had the best stretch of his career before signing with the Raptors during the summer of 2017.
