It's been weeks since Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies bowed out of the NBA playoffs, which has given the superstar some time to enjoy himself. But not everyone is happy to see him living his best life.

Morant was seen on Instagram Live having the time of his life with some friends and alcohol, vibing to some music by the pool. Some chose to see the scene and call him out for not being in the gym and practicing while his Grizzlies were on the sidelines during the NBA Finals.

The Grizzlies guard didn't take it sitting down, taking to Twitter to dish some perspective on his haters.

“LIFE is a funny & amazin thing when you put it in perspective. I was once a kid with dreams of being a pro basketball player, but life wasn’t lookin so promising for that because I always felt overlooked. My dream finally came to reality,” said Ja Morant.

“just because I’m a professional basketball player that does not make me less than human,” the Grizzlies guard continued. “So ima live it up, take care of the people around me & just be me!!!! I’m sorry if y’all don’t agree. I’ll pray for y’all later.”

He even added a clap back at his detractors on the IG live session itself.

The Memphis Grizzlies were one of the surprise contenders this season, thanks in large part to the meteoric rise of Ja Morant. If anyone on that roster deserves some serious rest and relaxation, it's him.
