Memphis Grizzlies center Joakim Noah is having fun with his new team — despite not winning many games.

The 12-year vet claims he's feeling it again as the midway point of the NBA season approaches. Moreover, since the trade that sent Marc Gasol to the Toronto Raptors late last week, the Grizzlies will likely call on Noah to fill the shoes – at least for now.

“I lost my confidence,” Joakim Noah admitted to Sam Smith of NBA.com.

“Now I am starting to get my swagger back on the court. Memphis gave me an opportunity; that was the only team that called. I am starting to feel better and better every time I step on the court because I am playing consistently and I am healthy for the first time in a long time, knock on wood.”

Noah had stints with the Chicago Bulls and New York Knicks prior to his arrival in Memphis this year. He was named Defensive Player of the Year in 2014, to go along with two All-Star appearances.

In 28 games for the Grizzlies so far, Noah is averaging 5.2 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.5 assists while shooting 50.0 percent overall. The 33-year-old Noah is making 65.9 percent of his trips to the charity stripe as well.

Memphis is slowly turning down the cruel road to rebuild, with their organization currently sitting at 23-35. And while Noah may not be part of that future, he'll relish the opportunity playing for the Grizzlies and returning to the right track.
