Memphis Grizzlies rookie sensation Ja Morant had himself a defensive mismatch against the Sacramento Kings on Friday and took full advantage of it.

During the early stages of the Grizzlies' hosting of the Kings at FedEx Forum, the 20-year-old spitfire guard drew in Sacramento forward Nemanja Bjelica after a switch. Displaying wisdom beyond his years, Morant wisely took his time with the possession and proceeded to cook the Serbian's defense with a series of crossovers.

After crossing Bjelica's ankles several times, Morant got himself to the shaded lane and launched a floater to push the Grizzlies' lead to nine points.

Ja Morant is still the frontrunner for the Rookie of the Year award, averaging 17.5 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 6.8 assists in 52 games heading to Friday's clash.

The Grizzlies, meanwhile, are looking to put an end to a four-game losing streak. Despite the slump, they still cling on the eight seed in the Western Conference with a 28-30 slate.

The Kings, on the other hand, are ranked 12th in the division with a 24-34 record.
