Rockstar Games announced that it looked into a potential solution for GTA Online load times following one player's published game fix. The player-made solution allegedly decreased load times by up to 70% but it had to be verified. Rockstar promised to look into the potential fix before promising any changes for its players.
“As a result of these investigations, we have made some changes that will be implemented in a forthcoming title update.”
Well, Rockster swiftly acted on the long-standing problem of GTA V's sprawling online mode. Subsequently, the GTA developers promised to apply some changes for the load time problem in the future but failed to specify an exact date. Fortunately for GTA Online PC players, Rockstar didn't specify a patch date because it was working hard to release it as soon as possible. GTA Online Update 1.53 now contains a March 16, 2021 update exclusively for the PC version.
FIXING GTA ONLINE
Players on the official r/gtaonline Subreddit report amazing improvements to their loading times. Most players used to spend up to 7 minutes waiting for their GTA Online mode to load but new load times vary between 35 seconds to 2.5 minutes. These numbers have yet to be verified but it's an extremely great time to be a GTA Online player at this point in time. Rockstar, once again, extended its gratitude to t0st for discovering the groundbreaking solution.

The GTA developers awarded t0st with USD 10,000 through its Bug Bounty Program after it verified the load time fix. Rockstar potentially saved hundreds to thousands of man-hours when a player pointed out a solution to a persistent Grand Theft Auto V problem. Hopefully, this exchange inspires other players to help improve their favorite games in any way they can. Players can now try GTA Online with no load time problems. Grand Theft Auto V is available on Steam for around USD 20.
