Atlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young will miss Friday's game against the Washington Wizards with “flu-like symptoms”. However, per the team, Young's health concerns are not serious and shouldn't cause concern.

Still, Atlanta will be without unquestionably their best player as they face off against a Wizards team that is trying to slip into the playoffs as the Eastern Conference's eighth seed.

The second-year star has managed to stay relatively healthy this season as he has played in 57 of the Hawks' 63 games this season. In those 57 games, Young has averaged 29.6 points, 9.3 assists and 4.3 rebounds — all career-highs. Young is also shooting 43.9 percent from the field and 36.0 percent from deep

And while the 21-year-old is putting up ridiculous individual numbers, Young's production hasn't led to many wins for Atlanta. At 19-44, the Hawks currently have the second-worst record in the East while going an awful 6-25 on the road this season.

After the game in Washington, Atlanta will continue its road trip against the Memphis Grizzlies before returning home to play the Charlotte Hornets.

While Young should be back soon for the Hawks, many are concerned about the health of NBA athletes due to the recent outbreak of the coronavirus across the country and the world.

Per The New York Times, the state of Georgia already has three confirmed cases of the virus while there have now been over 100,000 cases confirmed worldwide with over 3,000 deaths.
