In this day and age, eyes are everywhere. Social media has put celebrities and athletes alike under one big magnifying glass. Atlanta Hawks guard Dennis Schroder may not be a worldwide name just yet, but his social media activity sparked some controversy. He didn't have to, but he aired his side regarding the matter.

As reported by Bleacher Report, Schroder posted an Instagram story, explaining why he deleted photos of him in a Hawks jersey:

Though the Hawks starting point guard already explained his side of the story, some chose not to believe it, saying that Schroder will definitely leave the Hawks soon. In 67 games last season, the 24-year-old logged in 19.4 points per game, 6.2 assists, and 3.1 rebounds. Despite posting above-average numbers, his team finished with a 24-58 record — the worst in the entire Eastern Conference.

A report by Ryne Nelson of SLAM stated that Schroder will meet with the Hawks organization soon to discuss his future with the franchise. Schroder said:

“I want to compete. I cannot be second-to-last in the Eastern Conference.

“I don't know what the organization has in mind, that's why I am going back in a week. Of course, Atlanta is my city, I was drafted there, have a lot of memories, but like I said, I have to look individually what's best for me.”

He added the possibility of moving to another team, such as the Pacers or the Bucks:

“Of course I have my thoughts and my friends with other teams. For example, Indiana wouldn't be too bad, Milwaukee wouldn't be too bad. Those are two teams you can say that organization is going in the right direction.”
