A recent poll gained some steam on the mean streets of Twitter, as it compared Zion Williamson's athleticism versus Trae Young's skills. The father of the Atlanta Hawks star caught wind of the discussion and decided to share his two cents worth on the matter.

Ray Young, father of Trae, seems to have taken a subtle shot at Zion with his statement here:

Did Mr. Young just imply that Williamson's athleticism is something innate, and that the New Orleans Pelicans stud didn't put in the necessary work to get to the level he is at right now? Is he also saying here that his son, Trae, is a much harder worker, being that he tirelessly worked on honing his skills for years? Moreover, did he imply that in the long run—10 or 15 years down the road—Young's skills will outlast Zion's athletic prowess?

This could be reading too much into the Hawks star's father's statement here, but also, we can't help but think that he is also aiming a veiled shot at Williamson. He is, right?

Whatever the case may be, one thing is clear: these two players represent the next generation of superstars in the league. Stylistically, Young and Williamson could not be any more different. One is a tremendous shooter with unbridled ball-handling skills, while the other is a physical specimen that possesses a unique blend of speed, strength, and athleticism.

Be that as it may, they are two of the best young players in the game today, and they are going to be the face of the NBA in a few years time.
