Now that Atlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young has a year of NBA experience under his belt, the sharpshooter expects to have a little more freedom on the court next season. Young explained what he learned and experienced his rookie season and how it affected his confidence:

“Now I know what to expect,” Young said. “How to handle the long road trips and the back-to-backs. How to take care of my body. I’m going to be able to feel more free and have more confidence going into the season.”

Young had a rough start to his rookie season, as he struggled to shoot the ball from deep and was a non-factor defensively. However, the 20-year-old rebounded well and finished with a great run. He finished the season averaging 19.6 points a game along with 8.1 assists while shooting 32.4 percent from three.
