The Atlanta Hawks‘ new jerseys were leaked late last week, and the team officially released them on Tuesday to much fanfare.

Hawks star point guard Trae Young didn't have to wait long to put one on, as the Oklahoma standout who just finished his second season got to don the new unis for a promo. He certainly seems to like them:

The uniform on the left pays homage to the Hawks of the '80s and '90s with that colorful candy red with yellow shading and white stripes.

The uni on the right, the Statement Edition, will sport the Jordan Brand “Jumpman” logo starting next season. Statement jerseys are usually worn in high-profile games, which will be all the more lucrative for Jordan, as his company logo will appear on the right shoulder of the jersey and left leg of the shorts, spots usually occupied by the Nike swoosh.

These uniforms will hit retail stores as soon as October. Jordan Brand has designed NBA All-Star Game jerseys for the past three seasons. The Charlotte Hornets have worn Jordan Brand uniforms since 2017, as former NBA legend Michael Jordan is the majority owner of the franchise.

It won't be long before Trae Young is dazzling crowds (or viewers) with his moves while sporting the familiar “Jumpman” logo and paying homage to Dominique Wilkins and the Hawks from yesteryear with the red uniforms.

The Hawks are only the first of many teams set to release Statement Edition jerseys in the next few weeks. All 30 Statement Edition jerseys will feature that Jordan logo.
