Atlanta Hawks superstar Trae Young's best play of the evening came at the defensive end after he intimidated the hell out of Philadelphia 76ers big guard Ben Simmons in a crucial point of their Game 7 duel on Sunday. For context, Young is 6'1″ while Simmons is 6'11”.

I can't even describe what Ben Simmons was thinking on this play (via Bleacher Report):

With under four minutes left and the Hawks just up by two, Simmons posted up Danilo Gallinari to try and get an easy two points. After a few bumps, Simmons lost Gallo and eventually found himself all alone for a potential throwdown. But, Young's 6'1″ frame entered the picture which was more than enough reason for Simmons to pass out on a gimme and kicked the ball out to Matisse Thybulle.

It's been Simmons vs Simmons all series long as the Sixers court general has been unfortunately struggling. The 24-year-old was clearly in his head almost the entire series and seeing him pass up wide-open shots like this is definitely a clear indication of where his offensive confidence is at right now.

On an all-important Game 7 battle, the three-time All-Star was again invisible with just five points shoo9ting just 2-4 from the field and splitting his only trip to the line. He did manage to snag eight boards and dish out 13 assists but the Sixers needed way more from him to give them a chance to advance to the next round.

Young, on the other hand, was all over the court on Sunday. Despite his shooting woes, the 22-year-old stepped up on both ends of the floor making huge plays for his squads. Don't look now but Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks are just four wins away from heading to the 2021 NBA Finals.
