While the Boston Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers are still busy making blockbuster trades in late August, the rest of the NBA is in the middle of a dead period in the offseason. Most teams have already made their moves, leaving their Twitter accounts with precious little to post.

So in the midst of the offseason boredom, one way the Atlanta Hawks Twitter account has decided to pass some of that time is to play Connect Four with their followers … on Twitter.

A lot of people with boring jobs can probably relate to how Hawks Twitter is feeling at the moment. As a result, kudos to the account for finding a pretty innovative way to kill some time at work. Two pieces of advice, though.

First, if they really want to take this Twitter Connect Four up a notch, they might want to @ noted Connect Four savant Rajon Rondo, who is probably up for a game even on Twitter. Although, the Hawks Twitter better be cool with losing a bunch of times.

Also, the Hawks Twitter account better get ready to find more ways to pass the time other than Twitter Connect Four because, with the Hawks now in full-on rebuild mode, it’s going to be a long regular season for them as well.
