Miami Heat guard Dion Waiters will be available for his team's game against the Houston Rockets on Sunday, which will mark his first game back since his one-game suspension, according to Barry Jackson of The Miami Herald.

Waiters was suspended for the Heat's season opener against the Memphis Grizzlies but has yet to rejoin the team.

“There were a number of unacceptable incidents this week, culminating with his unprofessional conduct on the bench last night,” said Heat president Pat Riley at the time of Waiters' ban, according to Keith Smith of Yahoo Sports. “As a consequence, I feel we had to suspend him.”

Waiters is now entering his fourth season in Miami, but he has yet to play a full season with the club. Injuries limited him to 46, 30 and 44 games, respectively, in each of his first three years in South Beach.

Last season, the 27-year-old averaged 12 points, 2.8 assists and 2.6 rebounds over 25.9 minutes per game while shooting 41.4 percent from the floor, 37.7 percent from three-point range and 50 percent from the free-throw line.

Waiters, who played his collegiate basketball at Syracuse, was originally selected by the Cleveland Cavaliers with the fourth overall pick of the 2012 NBA Draft.

He spent his first two-and-a-half seasons with the Cavaliers, but failed to live up to expectations. He was then dealt to the Oklahoma City Thunder midway through the 2014-15 campaign, where he resided for a year-and-a-half before joining the Heat.

Waiters owns career averages of 13.2 points, 2.8 assists and 2.7 boards per game.

Miami is 4-1 on the season, most recently defeating the Atlanta Hawks on Thursday night.
