Following his retirement some months ago, there has been some talk that the next logical move for Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade is to form part of the ownership group of the Heat organization. The 38-year-old recently opened up about this matter with Ira Winderman of the Sun Sentinel, with Wade admitting that he has definitely entertained the idea.

“When it comes to talking to the Arisons about ownership, we've definitely sat down and talked about what I wanted to do when the game was over with,” he said. “That's the conversation that will continue to be ongoing.”

Dwyane Wade then put on the breaks by saying that while this may be on the horizon, he currently has other things on his mind.

“I think right now, as you guys know, my family and I have moved to Los Angeles and I'm really involved in so many other areas of my life,” he added. “I want to get that going. And the basketball will be there. My ties to Miami will never go anywhere. When that opportunity makes sense and it's right, then we definitely will sit down and have an even more in-depth conversation.”

We all know that Wade's love affair with Miami is anything but over, so we fully expect the three-time NBA champ to reunite with the Heat in some form or fashion somewhere down the road. It may not be in the next couple of years, but Wade should be back with the organization sooner rather than later.
