Miami Heat point guard Kendrick Nunn and big man Bam Adebayo are back with the team in Orlando after recovering from COVID-19.

While speaking to Heat reporters, Nunn explained how he and Adebayo helped each other through the COVID-19 process.

“Me and Bam, we kept in contact often because we were basically on the same routine and just trying to get over COVID and have negative tests,” Nunn said after Friday’s practice, via the Miami Herald.

“We were kind of talking to each other, helping each other through the process and telling each other to stay positive. It worked out for us.”

The Heat racked up 41 wins before the season was suspended in March. After missing the playoffs in 2018-19, Miami is ready to make some noise in the 2020 postseason with Jimmy Butler and Adebayo leading the way as the team's two All-Stars.

Nunn was averaging 15.6 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game for the Heat prior to Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert's positive COVID-19 test. Adebayo, meanwhile, was putting up 16.2 points, 10.5 rebounds and 5.1 assists. He made his first All-Star team this year and could win the 2020 Most Improved Player of the Year Award.

Once the playoffs start, Miami will ultimately go as far as Butler and Adebayo can lead the team offensively. The eight seeding games will allow Nunn and Adebayo to get back into basketball rhythm.
