Miami Heat All-Star big man Bam Adebayo won't be playing in Game 2 of the 2020 Finals against the Los Angeles Lakers, but he's going to be listed as “active” after begging head coach Erik Spoelstra.

The reason? By being listed as “active,” Adebayo won't have to wear a mask on the Heat bench.

As a result, Bam will be able to communicate with his teammates during the game, per Tim Reynolds of the Associated Press.

As if Heat fans needed another reason to love Bam Adebayo, here it is. The 23-year-old loves his teammates and wants to do anything he can to help the team win despite not being able to play against the mighty Lakers.

Both Adebayo and starting point guard Goran Dragic are out for the Heat in Game 2. While the Lakers will be heavily favored to win the series with Bam and The Dragon dealing with serious injuries, fans in South Beach won't count out their favorite basketball team just yet since the team has been making headlines all season long by quieting the critics.

However, this is going to be a really tough task for the Heat, especially since Lakers superstars LeBron James and Anthony Davis are playing their best basketball of the season.

Adebayo is averaging 17.8 points and 10.9 rebounds per game for the Heat in the 2020 playoffs. Hopefully, he's able to make a quick recovery and play in Game 3 since he's been one of the best players at Walt Disney World since the bubble games started in July.
