Undoubtedly one of the best dunkers in the league today, Miami Heat forward Derrick Jones Jr. was able to exemplify that skill once again on Sunday.
In the middle of the second quarter in a game against the Portland Trail Blazers, Jones Jr. gave the fans what they wanted.
With teammate Kendrick Nunn being double-teamed, the 6-foot-7 forward got the ball at the free-throw line. With one strong bounce, Jones Jr. rose up for an emphatic one-handed slam ignoring the defense of Carmelo Anthony and Kent Bazemore.

In his fourth season, Jones Jr. is capitalizing on an increased role with the Heat, averaging a career-high 8.1 points per game on top of 3.8 rebounds and 1.2 steal. He is also shooting 48.8 percent from the field and 72.9 percent from the free-throw line.
Moreover, the 6-foot-7 forward has already accrued various highlight dunks this season, and his most recent one against the Blazers certainly won't be the last.
In the Heat's 11-point win against Portland, Derrick Jones Jr. registered a season-high 19 points to go along with six rebounds and two blocks.
