The Charlotte Hornets have exercised the fourth-year option on Malik Monk's contract and the third-year option on Miles Bridges' contract, according to Rob Boone of The Athletic.

The Hornets had until Oct. 31 to do so:

The Hornets selected Monk with the 11th overall pick in the 2017 draft. He will make $4,028,400 this season and $5,345,687 in 2020-21.

Bridges was the 12th overall pick in last year's draft. The high-flyer will earn $3,755,400 this season and $3,934,320 next campaign.

Monk has career averages of 7.9 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists with the Hornets in 137 games while shooting 37.7 percent from the field, 33.6 percent from beyond the arc and 87.1 percent from the free-throw line. He played his college ball at Kentucky.

Bridges put up 7.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game as a rookie in 80 contests while shooting 46.4 percent from the floor, 32.5 percent from the 3-point line and 75.3 percent from the charity stripe. Bridges’ best game of the season came in April against the Orlando Magic. He scored 20 points and grabbed 12 rebounds while shooting 8-of-13 from the floor in 41 minutes of action.

The Kemba Walker-era is over in Charlotte. The Hornets started the 2019-20 season with a solid home win over the Chicago Bulls. Monk scored seven points in 16 minutes, while Bridges finished with eight points and five rebounds in 31 minutes.
