The start of training camp around the NBA is now less than a week away and teams are making the final touches to their rosters.

According to Keith Smith of RealGM, the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday morning have inked undrafted rookie Luke Petrasek to a deal.

Petrasek spent four years at Columbia where he averaged 9.0 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 115 appearances with the Lions. In his senior year, he averaged 15.1 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 1.9 assists that helped him earn Second-Team All-Ivy League and Third Team All-Met honors. He also finished his collegiate career 22nd on Columbia's all-time scoring list and fifth with 95 blocks.

The 22-year-old is the first player from Columbia to attend an NBA training camp since Sean Couch, who was drafted by the Indiana Pacers back in 1987. The Hornets now have 20 players under contract heading into camp that is set to begin next week.

Charlotte is hoping to bounce back this upcoming season after missing the playoffs for the second time in the last four years finishing with the 11th best record in the Eastern Conference. The front office has made several additions to the roster that includes the trade for former All-Star center Dwight Howard along with selecting former Kentucky guard Malik Monk and Florida State forward Dwayne Bacon in this year's draft.
