The Charlotte Hornets are looking to part ways with forward/center Frank Kaminsky and listening for potential offers for the 7-footer, according to Sean Deveney of Sporting News.

Kaminsky recently had the opportunity to log good minutes with the absence of starting center Cody Zeller due to a hand injury but the big man saw only sporadic minutes under new coach James Borrego, coupled with the 11 DNPs to his name in the first 16 games of the season.

To top that off, Kaminsky has only averaged 11.2 minutes in 22 games this season, a clear sign the Hornets prefer to part ways instead of paying the remaining $3.6 million left in his contract.

There's been interest in the face-up big man but the Hornets turned down the deal after wanting to bundle him with Nicolas Batum's two years and $52 million — a bloated contract most NBA front offices want no part of.

The Hornets reportedly tried to move Batum's contract along with the ones of other starters by throwing in All-Star point guard Kemba Walker as the sweetener of the pot but using Kaminsky's cap-friendly deal is entirely different from including an All-Star in the package.'

Charlotte is littered with bad contracts up and down the roster, including center Bismack Biyombo's $17 million among the likes of Michael Kidd-Gilchrist ($13 million) and Batum.

The only exception to the over-splurging on contracts is Walker, who is making a mere $12 million in the eve of a potential third-straight All-Star season — but that will all change with signs pointing at ownership's desire to keep him as the franchise player, likely commanding a max contract for his services.
