Miles Bridges is one of the best overall athletes in the NBA. Now that the Charlotte Hornets have finally begun a long overdue rebuilding process, the rising sophomore forward will have far more opportunity to show it. And as this stunning Eurostep into a windmill dunk from Summer League action makes abundantly clear, basketball fans across the globe will be better for it as a result.

Nasty.

The No. 12 overall pick of the 2018 NBA Draft, Bridges averaged 7.5 points and 4.0 rebounds in 21.2 minutes per game as a rookie, shooting 46.4 percent overall and 32.5 percent from three-point range. He started the last 25 games of the season in place of Jeremy Lamb, slotting next to Marvin Williams in interchangeable roles at forward.

Hornets coach James Borrego said earlier this week that he's planning on starting Bridges to open the regular season. Best suited as a power forward due to his playmaking limitations and streaky jumper, much of Bridges' appeal as a player rests with his versatility. Expect him to play both forward spots for Charlotte this season depending on opposing matchups and lineup construction.

Losing Kemba Walker, irrespective of the team's ability to contend in the future, is sure to sting Charlotte. But with every highlight-reel play Bridges makes this season, Hornets fans will be reminded of the long-term potential made possible by their former franchise player's absence.
