The Boston Celtics have already added Al Horford this summer, but the team's other All-Star, Isaiah Thomas, believes it won't hurt them if they add another one to the roster.

Rumors have continued to circulate that Thomas has been actively recruiting his former Sacramento Kings teammate DeMarcus Cousins ever since he placed a comment on his Instagram post back in June.

In a recent interview, the 5-foot-9 guard discussed his thoughts on the possibility of Cousins joining his team and what their relationship is like. Per Mitch Lawrence of The Sporting News:

“If he came to Boston, that would be good, really good … The thing is, I’ve got his respect. I’ve always had that … When I was with him, I didn’t back down … I’m a point guard and that was my job. No matter if we did or didn’t get along off the court, on that court we were going to get along, and I was going to hold him accountable. That’s just how it is. It’s how I’ve always been. And he respects me for doing that.”

As of the moment, a trade for the 6-foot-11 center is highly unlikely for the Celtics to make as they are set to rotate Horford, Amir Johnson, and Kelly Olynyk in the four and five positions. It was also reported that Cousins is thrilled with the offensive sets head coach Dave Joerger wants to put in place.

It should be worth monitoring if this trade will push through in the future or not as Cousins has had a history of not having good relationships with his coaches and other team officials. Should the Kings ultimately decide to part ways with the Kentucky product, they will certainly look for the offer that gives them the most in return. If the Celtics would make a move for him, they should be ready to pay an expensive price.
