Jaguars CB Jalen Ramsey calls in sick, won’t practice amid trade request
The Jacksonville Jaguars want to keep Jalen Ramsey in the team. However, the corner wants out and will do everything in his power to make it happen. And calling in sick is one of the things he’s willing to do.
Adam Schefter gave the update that will make plenty of Jaguars fans shake their heads in disappointment.
Jacksonville CB Jalen Ramsey called the Jaguars on Sunday night to inform them that he’s sick and will be unable to practice today.

Despite Ramsey’s trade request, the Jaguars are adamant in their desire to keep the star corner in Jaguars colors. Moreover, team owner Shad Khan went through meetings with hopes to resolve the issue.
The Pro Bowl cornerback requested for a trade last week. Pro Football Talk discussed that a conversation with Tom Coughlin forced his hand to ask for a trade. Disrespectful things were apparently said to his face. It also doesn’t help that he’s not in good terms with head coach Doug Marrone.
The head coach himself kept his hands off the issue:
“I’ve just been focused on really helping the players, really helping this team, win football games. All the other stuff — you guys know me better than anyone — my social skills aren’t very good.”
There are three teams that could work well for Jalen Ramsey as the Oakland Raiders, Kansas City Chiefs, and Philadelphia Eagles all need a quality corner. Ramsey has apparently made his choice after posting a picture of Tupac Shakur in a Raiders hoodie in his Instagram story.
It remains to be seen if Ramsey’s absence will force the team to give him what he wants. They’re engaging in a battle of wills at the moment, and Ramsey will do everything he can to get out of Jacksonville.
