Jalen Ramsey has been away from the Jacksonville Jaguars this week for multiple reasons. According to Adam Schefter, Ramsey won't play versus the Denver Broncos in Week 4 due to his back injury.

By missing Sunday's game, Ramsey will be inactive for the first time in his career after making 51 consecutive starts in the NFL for the Jaguars.

As many know, the Jaguars All-Pro cornerback requested a trade from the team following Jacksonville's Week 3 loss to the Houston Texans. Ever since then, the relationship between the organization and Ramsey has begun to deteriorate even further.

Leading up to Sunday, Ramsey hadn't practiced all week because of developing the flu. Along with his illness, the cornerback told the team that he was having tightness in his back.

In the end, the back issues are the reason why Ramsey won't suit up against the Broncos. However, this isn't going to prevent the fans and the media to question whether or not his injury is legitimate.

It is well known that Ramsey wants out of Jacksonville but the front office doesn't seem interested in fulfilling his request just yet. There were reports that surfaced on Sunday that Jacksonville actually rejected a trade offer that included two first-round picks.

Despite the team's unwillingness to deal him, Ramsey reiterated that he wants to play elsewhere. Nevertheless, both sides seem to be at a stalemate at this current point in time. With Ramsey being out on Sunday, D.J. Hayden and Tre Herndon will likely see an increased workload on defense.
