James Harden isn't exactly the most loved name out there at this very moment. He's been trying to force his way out of the Houston Rockets, and is currently on the brink of changing the landscape of the NBA as we know it.

The folks over at Adidas thought it would be a great idea to pounce on Harden's current headline-grabbing stature by launching the former MVP's latest signature sneaker: the Adidas Harden Vol 5:

The colorway of Harden's new pair is undeniably one-of-a-kind, and it is a great representation of the 31-year-old colorful personality — both on and off the court. However, what sets this particular sneaker apart is how it features Adidas' brand new Futurenatural footwear innovation:

Tim Newcomb of Forbes also described what this new technology entails, and how it could prove to be a game-changer in the world of basketball kicks:

Futurenatural will debut on the upcoming Harden Vol. 5 signature basketball sneaker for NBA star James Harden, bringing with it the most advanced fit the brand has created. By scanning over 1,000 feet of basketball consumers — from NBA to recreational players — Adidas used the research to create a new approach to the shoe’s last, building a foundational piece in the footwear design process the “closest to the human foot you could possibly have in our product range.”

While it is certain that Harden will be debuting this pair once the new season commences, what remains unclear at this point is which team he's going to be suiting up for. Just recently, Harden added the Milwaukee Bucks and the Miami Heat as two other teams that he's open to joining. The Harden saga in Houston is far from over.
