For most professional athletes, “money ain't a thing,” as Jermaine Dupri would say. Often times, stars of the sporting world make charitable donations to various organizations. Other times, though, it's a random act of kindness that proves their true nature.

On Thursday morning, Sports Illustrated's Twitter team released a heart-warming post. In the message, it was reported that Utah Jazz star Donovan Mitchell decided to pay for a customer's Apple repair bill after overhearing that he wouldn't be able to afford it.

Mitchell posted a message of his own a few hours later, noting that he was glad to help.

Mitchell, now 21 years of age, has become a fan favorite in Utah — for good reason. In 79 appearances with the Jazz last season, the former Louisville Cardinal racked up averages of 20.5 points on 43.7 percent shooting from the field (34.0 percent from beyond the arc), 3.7 assists, 3.7 rebounds, and 1.5 steals in 33.4 minutes per outing.

Oh, and let's not forget about Mitchell winning the 2018 Slam Dunk Contest. Just for the record, he became the first Louisville Cardinal to be named champion of the event.

Without knowing the full extent of the customer's financial situation, Mitchell decided to step up to the proverbial plate. There were no cameras or reporters on-scene, yet he still reached out to help.

It's just like the old saying goes, true tests of character come when no one is watching.
