Utah Jazz guard Mike Conley finally snapped his cold streak and erupted for 29 points to guide his team to a 110-96 rout of the Los Angeles Clippers, who were playing without both Kawhi Leonard and Paul George.

Conley, who struggled in his first four games with the Jazz, shot 11-of-17 from the field in this one, including 5-of-8 from beyond the arc.

After the game, Conley said he has been trying to get his rhythm back. When he hit his first few shots against LA, he knew he would have a big night for Utah.

Via WTOP.com:

“I just wanted to get back to who I am. I hit one, hit two and could feel going. I felt the energy from the crowd and my teammates and said, yes, this is the game.”

The 13-year veteran added that it feels good to finally break out of his slump, and Conley believes he'll get things going now:

“It’s a big relief and I’ve really wanted to start playing like I’m used to. I hope this is the beginning of the positive Mike.”

Despite Conley's struggles, the Jazz are still 4-1 for the season. They have been relying on the impressive play of third-year guard Donovan Mitchell, who's averaging 24.0 points on 52.9 percent shooting through the first five games.

Still, the Jazz will need Mike Conley to be more productive moving forward, especially if they want to make a deep run in the playoffs. Despite his struggles, he's still one of the most underrated point guards in the league. Hopefully, Wednesday's game was a harbinger of things to come.

The Jazz will have a rematch with the Clippers at Staples Center on Sunday.
